Adeladius Makwega – MBAGALA
Today, Mwanakwetu has decided to bring the matter concerning Hon. Pauline Gekul to a close. Her appointment was revoked while she was serving as the Member of Parliament for Babati, having previously served as Deputy Minister for Constitution and Legal Affairs of the United Republic of Tanzania.
However, I wish to make it clear that if anyone comes forward with arguments or questions regarding this matter, I am prepared to stand in public and respond to those arguments without hesitation.
First and foremost, I would like to make it clear that among the people who have consistently contacted me whenever I have written articles about Pauline Gekul is Advocate Tadey Lister Mlemeta. He has shared his views with me, including the following statement:
“This woman treated me very badly when I was a CHADEMA candidate.”
Mwanakwetu welcomes these views wholeheartedly. I believe that Hon. Gekul herself has also read these comments. If there is truth in the allegations, I believe Hon. Gekul knows what she needs to do, including contacting Mr. Mlemeta so that they can talk and resolve their differences.
Mwanakwetu believes that no human being is perfect; everyone has their own shortcomings.
“Pauline Gekul may have her own shortcomings, I, Mwanakwetu of Mbagala, may have mine, and my younger brother, Tadey Lister Mlemeta, may have his. That is human nature.”
Through this article, Mwanakwetu appeals to Mr. Tadey Lister Mlemeta, urging him to consider making peace with Pauline Gekul and forgiving each other for whatever happened in the past.
My Family Relationship with Advocate Tadey Lister Mlemeta
To clarify this matter, I would like the public to understand that Advocate Tadey Lister Mlemeta is my biological relative. He is the son of my elder maternal uncle, Lister Samweli Mlemeta, who is a retired pharmacist.
Advocate Tadey Mlemeta's grandfather, Muwaha Samweli Tadey Mlemeta, was born of the same mother as my grandfather, Hezron Tadey Mlemeta. My grandfather Hezron was the father of my mother, Doroth Hezron Tadey Mlemeta.
For the benefit of my readers, please note that the name Tadey, used by Advocate Tadey, is the name of the father of his grandfather, Muwaha Samweli Tadey Mlemeta.
Pauline Gekul Is a Daughter of Babati
For the people of Babati, it is important to recognise that Hon. Pauline Gekul is your sister and a mother figure to us all. When she served as Deputy Minister, she was serving the people of Tanzania.
It was through her public service that people like Mwanakwetu came to know her. This is an important point that must be understood.
As a daughter of Babati, Pauline Gekul has human shortcomings, just like everyone else. Indeed, even I, Mwanakwetu of Mbagala, have many sisters, including those in Ikangao Ketaketa, whom I grew up with and whose shortcomings I know well. Nevertheless, I would never use my sisters' weaknesses to destroy them.
Instead, we should use our relatives' shortcomings as opportunities to help them improve, develop our communities, and build Tanzania as a whole.
Pauline Gekul has made many positive contributions as a national leader. The elders of Babati have a responsibility to recognise her contributions and seek ways to address the challenges facing this politician.
This is how the elders of Mbagala and Ikangao Mahenge also sit down with their own relative, Mwanakwetu, to address matters concerning him.
“When the President appoints or removes one of our own from a leadership position, it means that the opportunity for your relative to represent you is lost, and there is no guarantee that the opportunity will ever return to you. In that situation, you have lost a valuable opportunity.”
To Those Who Insult Me Whenever I Write About Pauline Gekul
My final message today is directed at those who insult me whenever I write articles about Pauline Gekul. I know you have a lot to say, including the following:
“Oh, Mwanakwetu likes fair-skinned women!”
“Oh, that Mwanakwetu! Pauline is his lover!”
“Oh, Mwanakwetu has been paid a large bribe to clean up Pauline's image!”
Let me make this clear: I have worked with Pauline, but I do not even have her phone number.
Let me also state clearly that Pauline has never given me anything. Furthermore, I have never even felt attracted to her in the way you allege.
Indeed, I have known Hon. Pauline Gekul closely since she was a CHADEMA Member of Parliament in 2015. I saw her regularly during parliamentary programmes, particularly the programme “Lile Lililoleta Mjadala” (The Issue That Sparked Debate), which was broadcast on TBC Taifa before Parliament withdrew that privilege from the broadcaster.
At that time, Pauline Gekul was a beautiful and very young woman.
“If I did not express any romantic interest in her back then, why would I do so now? I know that Pauline Gekul is married, and I, too, have a wife.”
People of Babati, Protect Your Sister
Mwanakwetu wishes to make it clear to the people of Babati that you should ensure your sister, Pauline Gekul, engages in politics responsibly while protecting her and helping her overcome the challenges she faces.
If you fail to do so, Mwanakwetu hereby makes the following public declaration:
“I will bring Pauline Gekul to our home in Mbagala, Dar es Salaam, so she can enjoy kamba kochi, or I will take her to our home in Ikangao Mahenge, Morogoro, where she can eat catfish from the Luhombero River.
I am certain that once Binti Gekul gets to enjoy Mbagala's kamba kochi and the catfish from the Luhombero River, she will look even better, because these fish are rich in protein. After eating these fish, Pauline Gekul will look as she did in 2010.
I appeal to you: do not let Hon. Pauline Gekul lose her former vitality.”
Mwanakwetu, are you there? Remember:
PAULINE GEKUL AS SHE WAS IN 2010.
I wish you all a pleasant day.
