CRDB: Invest in Lindi, Borrow in Mara... No Problem!

"Where You Are, We Are."

For CRDB Bank, this is more than just an advertising slogan—it is a promise that appears to be put into practice.

"Our bank currently provides a wide range of loan products to Tanzanians engaged in various economic activities, including agriculture and livestock farming. A customer may apply for a loan at CRDB Mara or any other CRDB branch across the country, yet wish to invest in Lindi Region.

Under our current procedures, the branch serving the customer can travel to Lindi—or anywhere else in the country—to inspect and assess the proposed investment site. Once the assessment is completed, the customer can proceed with the loan application.

The customer is not required to contact the CRDB branch nearest to the investment location. All communication is handled through the branch where the customer opened the loan application."

These remarks were made by Faraja Binti Kaziulaya, Senior Manager for Local Government Business at CRDB Bank Headquarters, during a courtesy visit by CRDB officials to the Office of the Mara Regional Commissioner, Colonel Evans Alfred Mtambi, on July 22, 2026.

For his part, Regional Commissioner Hon Colonel Evans Alfred Mtambi commended CRDB Bank for its continued commitment to providing quality financial services to the people of Mara Region and across Tanzania through strong collaboration with government leaders and development partners.

"The opportunities you provide are benefiting the people of Mara Region. I encourage you to continue this excellent work, especially here in Mara, where we have enormous potential in agriculture, livestock, fisheries, tourism, and mining," he said.

CRDB continues to promote its well-known corporate slogans, including

"The Bank That Listens to You," "Where You Are, We Are," and "Fueling Prosperity Together."

The message delivered during the meeting offers hope to many Tanzanians who aspire to invest beyond their home regions. Simply put, you can live in Mara, invest in Lindi, and have your financing arranged without relocating or dealing with multiple bank branches.

As one might jokingly put it:

"Your cattle may be in Lindi, but your loan can begin in Mara!"

The CRDB delegation that visited the Regional Commissioner's Office consisted of four officials—two women and two men.

The author of this article also left the meeting with more than just notes. During the visit, he had the opportunity to exchange contacts with Faraja Binti Kaziulaya, an interaction that inspired him to explore several investment opportunities discussed during the meeting

.

He now plans to contact her to begin his own investment journey. Once he receives guidance from Ms. Kaziulaya, he intends to share with the public the type of investment he chooses and the region where he will invest, allowing fellow Tanzanians to learn from CRDB's investment support model.

Perhaps then he—and many others—will finally have the answer to a question often asked:

Is CRDB truly "The Bank That Listens to You"?

Since Ms. Faraja Binti Kaziulaya oversees Local Government Business at CRDB, she may well have the answer.

Mwanakwetu, Are you ready?

Remember:

"Invest in Lindi, Borrow in Mara... No Problem! — CRDB."

Have a Wonderful Day!
