THE SECRET OF THE INDIVIDUAL AND THE PUBLIC

Listen, people,
I bring you a serious matter,
About the nature of secrecy,
Of a person and of all society.

After we gained our freedom,
A government was born,
Belonging to all people in truth,
Not for one to possess alone.

Ethnic groups were once divided,
Each with its own borders,
But unity then arrived,
Erasing those differences.

The rulers of old times,
Used many kinds of secrets,
They hid their secrecy away,
So the citizens would not know.

SECRET, SECRET, and SIR-I,
GEHEIMNIS for the Germans too,
All belonged to rulers alone,
Not ordinary people.

But today we are free,
The government belongs to all of us,
So why should secrecy remain,
In the hands of a few forever?

There are state secrets,
Protected for the common good,
Like war maps and plans,
If leaked, they bring danger.

And also our examinations,
If they leak they mislead,
The unqualified may pass,
And the nation suffers loss.

These are secrets of the public,
Each person must protect them,
Because their harm,
Affects the whole society.

But there is also a story,
Of a minister with habits,
Who goes out secretly at night,
Without being openly known.

His loyal driver,
Waits outside for him,
Not knowing what is happening,
Inside the VIP room.

But behind the curtain,
The minister leaves in secrecy,
Riding a motorcycle taxi,
Pursuing hidden affairs.

Later it becomes known,
To the eyes of the driver,
Who discovers the truth,
About the leader’s life.

What kind of secret is this?
Is it governmental or personal?
The answer requires reflection,
Weighed with wisdom.

For if he suffers an accident,
The whole nation will be affected,
The loss is not his alone,
But of the entire society.

That is where the question arises,
Where is the boundary?
Between private secrecy,
And that of the whole public.

It is good first to speak,
With wisdom and respect,
To avoid causing harm,
Without shaming a person.

But if he refuses to listen,
And danger continues,
Then society intervenes,
To protect the common interest.

In conclusion I say,
With a clear voice,
There are secrets to be protected,
And others to be made public.

Understand their boundaries,
With intellect and wisdom,
So as to protect all rights,
Of both the individual and the nation.
