Colonel Mtambi Attends Holy Trinity Sunday Mass

The Mara Regional Commissioner, Hon. Colonel Evansi Alfred Mtambi, attended the Holy Trinity Sunday Mass on May 31, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Songe Parish, in the Catholic Diocese of Musoma.

 

While delivering his homily during the Mass, Songe Parish Priest, Fr. Wilbert Matembo, first explained the concept of the Holy Trinity:

"The Holy Trinity is a fundamental belief of the Catholic Church, based on our faith in God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is the foundation of Christianity from which many churches have emerged."

Continuing his homily, Fr. Matembo addressed the importance of peace, emphasizing that it is a responsibility for everyone to uphold. He also stressed the importance of praying for one another and for leaders.

 

Concluding his homily, Fr. Matembo expressed his gratitude to the Mara Regional Commissioner for joining the faithful in worship during this important Catholic celebration.

Songe Parish is among several parishes within the Catholic Diocese of Musoma and is located near the High Court of Tanzania, Musoma Zone.

 

During the Mass, the Mara Regional Commissioner was accompanied by members of the Mara Regional Security and Defense Committee, the Acting Regional Administrative Secretary, Mr. Humphrey Kongoke, and the Musoma District Commissioner, Hon. Juma Chikoka.
