Adeladius Makwega – MBAGALA
As always, Mwanakwetu often says that Mwigulu Nchemba, who is now the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, is a good person. If someone approaches him and explains their problem, challenge, or difficulty, he listens and helps resolve it.
Perhaps what Mwanakwetu can tell his brother, Hon. Mwigulu Nchemba, is this:
“My brother Mwigulu Nchemba, be careful that your assistants do not ruin this good reputation of yours.”
Indeed, this is his strength—setting aside what happened during the General Election of October 29, 2025, and the days that followed, because that remains our concern and we are still waiting for answers. This must be said.
Today, my reader, I want you to look at a photo from August 2, 2015, showing Hon. Mwigulu Nchemba among a group of CCM members who picked up presidential nomination forms through the Chama Cha Mapinduzi party. In the end, Hon. John Pombe Magufuli won.
At that time, Mwanakwetu was not supporting Mwigulu Nchemba—this must be stated.
In the photo, there are five people seated in a large room with furniture along the sides and decorated with a red carpet. These individuals were supporting Mwigulu Nchemba, who appears relaxed, sitting comfortably.
From the right side of the image (as viewed):
“A woman is crouched down, writing something. Next is Hamisi Kigwagwala, dressed in a black suit, giving instructions to the crouching woman. Then there is Hon. Mwigulu Nchemba. Behind him stands a man holding his chair, identified as Dr. George Nyaronga (formerly Executive Director of Korogwe District Council). In front of Dr. Nyaronga sits Maria Sarungi Tsehel, appearing to listen attentively to Hon. Mwigulu Nchemba. ”
These are events from 11 years ago (as of 2026).
Mwanakwetu reflects on this photo and says:
“At that time, Maria Sarungi Tsehel was not in the opposition. Back then, Maria Sarungi, former Head Girl of Zanaki Secondary School, was part of CCM.”
Looking at the image, one might ask: why doesn’t Hamisi Kigwangwala call Mwigulu Nchemba and say:
“Hon. Mwigulu, my colleague, you were trusted by this woman. You were once Minister of Finance and later Prime Minister. Remember when you were seeking the presidency and called yourself ‘dogo janja’—remember me, your brother.”
And Maria Sarungi might say:
“I was your media person. I promoted you through the media and spread your message well. Why the silence now? Why have you forgotten me? Don’t see opposition as hostility—opposition is not enmity.”
Mwanakwetu asks:
When did Maria Sarungi and Mwigulu Nchemba become enemies?
What is Mwanakwetu saying today?
Our leaders should remember this: when some people gain positions, they distance themselves from their former associates, thinking that maintaining those relationships might cost them their positions. Mwanakwetu says this is not true. If God has destined you to have that position, you will have it—and it will leave only by God’s will, not because of the people you once associated with.
Let us not separate from each other. Do not run away from your old companions.
Mwanakwetu, are you there? Remember:
“When did these people fall out?”
Have a nice day.
