Adeladius Makwega – Musoma, Mara
On April 13, 2026, the Mwanakwetu visited the office of the Member of Parliament for Musoma Urban, Hon. Mgore Miraj Kigera—first to greet her and then to obtain answers to a few questions regarding her constituency, Musoma Urban, located in Musoma Municipality in Mara Region, Tanzania.
At the office, Mwanakwetu was warmly welcomed by two polite and very kind young women.
He had several questions, including one about the challenge faced by residents of Malima Mkomaji in Kwangwa Ward, who need a culvert to connect two neighboring streets.
The office of the MP responded:
“We are aware of this challenge, and the MP’s office has already visited the area and spoken with residents of the surrounding streets. The matter has been forwarded to TARURA for implementation.”
Mwanakwetu then asked a second question regarding some customers of clean and safe water in parts of Musoma Urban. There have been claims that their water bills are sometimes issued without actual meter readings.
The MP’s office responded:
“We have received these complaints. Through the media, we urge the responsible authorities to ensure that water meters are read properly and on time. We will also emphasize this in council meetings and even in parliamentary sessions. However, ‘oppress the weak if you must, but give them their rights.’ I know that the Musoma Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MUWASA) is doing a good job, and it is very rare to hear of water shortages in this town. I sincerely commend MUWASA for the good work they are doing.”
After receiving answers to these two questions, Mwanakwetu left and returned to where he came from.
So, what is Mwanakwetu saying today?
These were two questions directed to the Member of Parliament for Musoma Urban from his constituents, collected and presented by Mwanakwetu, and they were well answered. On another day, when the Mwanakwetu visits again with more questions and receives answers, he will share them as well.
Mwanakwetu sincerely thanks the Member of Parliament for Musoma Urban, Hon. Mgore Miraj Kigera, for these responses.
Are you there? Remember:
“Oppress the weak if you must, but give them their rights.”
Have a nice day.
