Adeladius Makwega–Mukendo, Musoma, Mara

The Head of the ICT Unit in the Office of the Regional Commissioner of Mara, Mr. Ngobai Mwisarya, on June 9, 2026, urged ICT officers in Mara Region to work collaboratively and diligently in order to ensure that all government activities are carried out efficiently and professionally.

“Currently, everything is within ICT. As an ICT officer, how accountable are you? You must assess and evaluate yourself properly in the performance of all your duties, whether on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. If you are negligent, then our public institution will also become negligent. I urge you to work hard while valuing time.”

These remarks were made by Mr. Mwisarya while opening a meeting of ICT officers from all councils in Mara Region, including Musoma Municipal Council, Musoma District Council, Tarime Town Council, Bunda District Council, Bunda Town Council, Serengeti District Council, and Butiama District Council.

Earlier, while presenting the meeting agenda, the Secretary of the meeting, Switbert Masumira, who is also an ICT officer, stated that the meeting had eight agenda items. One of these was to provide directives received from a national meeting of Regional ICT Officers held in Dodoma from May 25 to 30, 2026.

After the meeting, the ICT officers had the opportunity to observe how the ICT system operates efficiently at the Office of the Regional Commissioner of Mara following major improvements.

At the time of these events, the weather in Musoma town was 28°C, with humidity at 10%, a 53% chance of rain, and winds blowing at 16 km/h.
